Just called regarding a problem with an old Dux unit and i found the service to be great and super helpful. We have Dux units at all our properties and they all function great and when they don't are fixed quickly.

Gas hot water system failed after 17 months. Turns out the massive 10 year warranty is only for the tank, not the complete unit called a Hot Water Tank but the thing inside the hot water tank called the tank, the rest of it is only 1 year. Well DUX, See you at NCATl, I am exercising my right under the Australia Consumer Rights Legislation. How long is a hot water tank meant to last, certainly not less than 10 years.

Do you think Dux's firm stance on a 12 month warranty for all parts except the tank will pass the acceptable durability test of the Australian Consumer Law?

my experience with installing a prodigy 4 gas hw htr ,when removing old prodigy 3 heater no problem when i came to install new heater low and behold some idiot at dux has decided to make this heater with left connections only (dux has always had DUALconections )so consequently i had to alter all pipework to make it fit ,costing me money as it was a quote job,it apears that dux is going the way of many manufactures IF IT WORKS CHANGE IT what a dumb attitude i thought dux had more sense?what will their next step be, assemble yourself hot water heaters, ? for peats sake go back to dual handed heaters like you use to make

Steer clear of this brand!! Hot water system broke after 18months...they only warrant 12months. Wouldn't even cover the replacement of a part..cost over $300 to have repaired on a system that cost over 1K. Customer service was rude & not interested in helping.

I called the 1300 365 116 at 1:52PM on the 14th June 2017. I spoke to your representative that was very firm and completely unsupportive. I was told that the parts and labour warranty is 12 months on all parts except the tank which is 7 or 10 years depending on the model. I have this call logged in my records.
